Senior Pastors John & Glenice

Senior Pastor John and Glenice Verhoeff have been in ministry in New Zealand for several decades, mostly in Dunedin and Auckland. They have also serve for several years overseas in Singapore and Ireland.

Pastor John has a Master’s degree in Pastoral Leadership and he is also the Regional Missions Director for the South Pacific region for Victory Family Centre, Singapore. In this role he oversees churches in New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Timor-Leste.

Pastor Glenice is working towards her Master’s degree in Religious Education. Both Pastor John and Glennice have extensive experience in Family Life ministries and counseling.

Pastor Steven & Fann Choy

Pastor Steven and Fann have been married for many years and immigrated to New Zealand in 2004. They were actively involved in Victory Family Centre, Singapore before coming to New Zealand. 

Pastor Steven Choy graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture and is practising as an architect and interior designer. He has been involved with teaching in China as well as in prison ministry in Singapore.

Fann, his wife, has a diploma in Early Childhood Training and is working as an educator.

Pastor Steven & Fann are pastors of our Chinese Congregation.

Pastor Michael and Reena Chinappa

Pastor Michael and Reena have been married for 40 years and have four adult children and 2 grandchildren. They have been in ministry for 35 years mostly in a pastoral role in Fiji.

Pastor Michael has graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and came to NZ in 2004. Pastor Michael and Reena have been serving in Vision Life Centre for the last 5 years and are currently pastors of our Avondale Congregation.

Pastor Saula & Jennifer Havea

Pastor Saula and Jennifer have been married for 8 years, and have three children. Saula has been in ministry from the young age of 15, involved in church planting and missions for the last 19 years in countries such as Uganda, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Fiji & Auckland, New Zealand. Saula has a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies.

Jennifer served in UNDP (United Nations Development Program) in Timor-Leste as a program officer, Oxfam & World Vision and is now the director of also served in the church heading the worship ministry. Jennifer has a Master’s degree in International studies and Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.

They have served together in ministry since 2009, and have been involved in different ministry roles since before they got married. They are currently pastors of our International Congregation.

Pastor Kenneth & Nayani Marasinghe

Pastor Kenneth and Nayani have been married for over 6 years and have served in various ministries while under our sister church VFC London before moving to New Zealand. He is currently serving as the Assistant pastor of the International Congregation.
